  i was curious if any of you who were part of judicial committees and disfellowshipped any ever after learning ttatt tried to look up those who were dfed and never returned, etc, or who are still dfed.

  The JC's I was on were for misc stupid stuff and mostly private reproofs. I wasn't the kickem out kind of guy. The df's were for things like drunkeness, alki beat his wife and the like. We met with two persons who DA'd themselves because they just didn't want to be Witnesses any more, no reason given really accept they didn't want to live the life so it wasn't apostacy. Now I admire their courage. So no one to apologize to. They've moved on and so have I.

  i have recently joined the site.

  i was just appointed an elder this summer.

  i started discovering the ttatt (the truth about the truth) last year after putting a few things together myself concerning the leadership and then doing some research online.. i really enjoyed jwfacts.com, jwsurvey, and others.

  Could have come from the Christian Science monitor I think. Totally harmless. As noted, few if any JW's fit this description. Most are out for what they can get in a friendship, giving means leaving old magazines at houses not caring for a friend's needs.

  The long road of the VW Bus coming to an end

  i didn't even realize the vw bus was still in production but vw in brazil still produces the iconic bus, production will end in december.. many of us had vw buses, surf wagons et al, i had a 1959 'camper' special we would take on surfing trips to baja california and camp on the beaches down by san quentin.. i took my 'magic bus ride' with four jw buddies just before my arrest over the vietnam draft.

  we rode up the california coast to big sur.

  with the side door open and feet hanging out we traveled the coastal route from los angeles through santa barbara, pismo beach, san simeon, big sur and monterey ending in san francisco where i hopped a flight back to los angeles for my arraignment.. enjoy-.

  66 Bus with a 1969 engine, drove to the Grand Canyon and through Nevada/Utah. Also up the coast and on Pismo beach at sunset, amazing. Loved that old machine. A camper that I put back together. Darn thing was a death trap though. Glad I survived it.

  greetings, soup lovers:.

  i have a huge kitchen at my disposal (not my own); vegetables, cans of this and that and spices are scattered about, prepared to go into a cauldron of minestrone i started a few days ago.

  i'm preparing ahead so as to freeze the leftovers to heat up later at home over my hotplate.. nothing like a 6-burner gas range to simmer over!.

  My daughter has been officially df’d, unfortunately...

  unfortunately she still does not know ttatt... the good thing is that my wife (her mom) is not shunning her!.

  i gave my daughter love & comfort and told her that nobody is ever going to divide us, i might not be happy with all of her choices and decisions but i just want her to be happy.

  my family is still asleep and still thinks this is the truthtm and my wife wants her to come back.

  I get it now, the daughter thinks its still the Truth even though DF'd. Its ingrained ya know. So you have to take opportunities to point out why what negatives she comments on that are honest observations are valid. Build on them. What worked for you? She's blood so just give it to her in limited amounts in the areas that impressed you about TTATT. Something will get through. Good luck.
